Here at Dusit, we see scientific study as the means by which pupils can develop as lifelong learners and problem solvers.
Pupils across the school engage each week in science lessons carefully structured around key themes. These are designed to build upon pupils prior knowledge and to foster a deep and connected understanding of the sciences.
We believe that pupils can gain so much through study of the past and pupils regularly study famous scientists and, over their years at our school, build an awareness of how scientific knowledge has changed and developed.
All scientific subjects are brought to life through practical investigations that develop scientific skills such as writing questions, designing experiments, controlling variables and analysing anomalies. These hands-on and practical lessons allow pupils to see the impact science has on their everyday lives.
